Proudly USDA Certified Biobased!
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with the Doggy Do Good family. We’ve officially earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label for our Home-Compostable Pet Waste Bags.

What Does This Mean?
This means our compostable pet waste bags have undergone rigorous third-party verification through the USDA BioPreferred® Program, which confirms the percentage of biobased content in our products. Essentially, our bags are made from renewable sources like plants, animals, marine, or forestry feedstocks.

Why Choose Biobased?
Biobased products, like our compostable bags, are a fantastic alternative to petroleum-based products. By choosing biobased, you’re helping to:
  • Combat Climate Change: Our bags help sequester carbon dioxide, reducing greenhouse gases.
  • Support Renewable Resources: Biobased materials replace non-renewable petroleum-based chemicals.
  • Protect Our Environment: They are generally safer for people and the planet.
  • Promote Innovation: Biobased products showcase incredible technological advancements.

The USDA Certified Biobased Product Label
The USDA label isn’t just a badge of honor; it’s a guide for consumers and federal buyers looking for environmentally friendly products. This label helps combat greenwashing by ensuring transparency and credibility. We’re proud to join other businesses in contributing to a thriving bioeconomy that lessens our reliance on petroleum.

The Bigger Picture
The biobased product industry is making a significant impact. According to the latest USDA Economic Impact Report, the industry supports 4.6 million American jobs and contributes $470 billion to the U.S. economy. For every biobased job, an additional 2.79 jobs are created in other sectors. Biobased products also displace about 9.4 million barrels of oil annually and have the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 12.7 million metric tons of CO2 equivalents per year.

About the USDA BioPreferred Program
Since its inception in the 2002 Farm Bill and reauthorization in 2018, the USDA BioPreferred® Program has been driving the development and purchase of biobased products. The program includes over 1,800 companies from the U.S. and 47 other countries, supporting rural economic growth and creating a positive environmental impact.
